Back to school part 2: Awesome stationary!

Get that adorable pencil case on Etsy

Hi everyone! So here's the deal, it's hard to know what to put in your pencil case. You wanna get rid of those coloured pens, but they're just so pretty!! What if you need them? Well we are here today to help you figure out what to keep and ditch.

Ok so here are the bare essentials:
- 1 HB pencil (For backup and borrowing)
- 3 mechanical pencils (we prefer these since you don't have to constantly carry a pencil sharpener around). If you prefer the regular HB pencils you can switch them out for those.
- 1 pencil lead container
- 6 pens; 2 red, 2 blue and 2 black.  You can switch some out (1 pink and 1 red instead of 2 for example).
- 2-5 highlighters. It totally depends if you prefer having lots of colour or just the basics. The 2 most basic colours are for most of the time yellow and pink but feel free to add blue, green, purple, orange... Whatever suits your fancy :)
- A mini 15cm/6 inch ruler
- (Optional) A couple coloured pencils for quick doodles
- (Optional again) A calculator, only if there's enough space for it.

So that was the basic needs, but here's some little DIY's to help you personalize all that dull material :)
You could paint your calculator cover:

For all you talented crafters, here's a tutorial for a gorgeous pencil case :)

Here's the same concept but with a pen:
So that's that for stationary! Coming up next: notebook and textbook covering. Stay tuned!

Back to school part 1: Backpack Essentials!!!

It's back to school time!! That might sound depressing to some of us, but we believe it's the best time of the year to finally get organized, since you have the chance to start from scratch. This is the first of our back-to-school post, there will (obviously) be more awesome posts about how to get organized and start the new school year in beauty and style ;-).

  • Books, binders & notebooks.

Now we know what you're thinking: "How dumb do they think we are?", but we just want to mention this as some sort of precaution because a lot of girls (and yes, only girls) just bring a purse to school and carry their stuff in their hands, which we find ridiculous. The whole point of bringing a bag is so you don't have to carry your stuff in your hands, if it doesn't fit, just get a bigger bag!!

  • Lip balm

Get this amazingly moisturizing Eos lip balm at your nearest pharmacy. It also smells fantabulous!

You never know when you may have a dry lip emergency. It's always a must in any situation!

  • Wallet
So we're not asking you to bring like 500$ to school everyday or anything, just bring some extra money in case you forget your lunch or something. Almost everyday people, wether we know them or not, come up to us asking to borrow money. It's very annoying.

  • Bobby pins + Hair ties
It's always important to have these in case of a hair emergency. No more bad hair days!!

  • Pencil case
Get this incredibly cute pencil case on Etsy! https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/127240031/polka-dot-pencil-case-zipper-cosmeticref=sr_gallery_7&ga_search_query=pencil+case&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_ship_to=CA&ga_ref=auto1&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery
We think its much easier to bring your pencil case home than to just buy more pencils, it's a waste of money. We have a stationary post coming soon for some pencil case fun!! A post about our favourite stationary will be coming up soon!

  • Gum/mints
No more bad breath!

  • Kleenex
This is very important during cold season. A runny nose is not fun.

If your school doesn't supply one, you should buy one to keep track of all your assignments.

  • Mascara + lip gloss
Ok so some of you guys can skip on this one. It's not exactly an essential but if you wake up late or for touch-ups, it can be of big help ;-).

There you have it! Now get ready because first day of school looks are coming soon!

Our faves!!

Hey hey!

On this beautiful day (well, it's beautiful here anyway!) we, the muchachas (yup, that's what we're calling ourselves now) want to share with you the best products in the world (according to us, of course). Let's wait no further!

Rimmel London Canada: Kate Moss lipstick Collection
This is one of Adria's faves because it smells very good (but it doesn't taste good though, for all you lipstick eaters), it stays on for several hours without having to reapply AND even after a long period of time, it doesn't settle into the creases of your lips.

E.l.f. Eyeshadow
This is one of Emma's personal favorites. The colours are very nice and varied and they're also very easy to apply. This brand has many great products but you have to be careful of the ones that are, kinda less great ;-).

China Glaze nail polish
We personally all love this brand of nail polish because it goes on so smooth and the colours are so vibrant (we have the one in the picture!). The prices are good too!

Yves Rocher Mascara 360° length
This is Abigail's personal favorite because it's goes on smoothly with no clumps and the colour is actually brown (if you take the brown). She wears the non-waterproof one everyday but it stays on better than most waterproof mascara. It takes like two tons of makeup remover to get it off (dumbass got the oil-free one -_-).

Paula's choice CLEAR acne reducing line
Abby had moderate acne since she was 8 and tried a lot of products. She has sensitive skin and rosacea so it was hard to find a product that's helped with all of that. These products are so good, her acne cleared up within 6 months and get skin looks way better now! This could be your little miracle ;-)

The body shop body butter (mango)
This is Naomi's favourite pick. It smells incredible and is very moisturizing; it leaves your skin baby soft!

Ok so that's it for the first faves we have, we'll have more coming later. The prices vary from country to country so we didn't indicate them, but these products are relatively easy to find in a drugstore, at their assigned stores or online :-)
